Tiffany

Tiffany came to us with a clear vision: to design the perfect skirt to layer under her Cecilie Bahnsen dress. After exploring several ideas, we landed on a dreamy organza bubble skirt, featuring intricate ruching and two playful bows on one side, creating a high-low hemline that beautifully complements the dress’s asymmetrical charm.

Hui Er

Inspired by the 1950s’ nipped-in-the waist-dresses, we created our own special rendition with a unique scallop dropped-waist bodice, carving out an ultra feminine silhouette that flares out at the hips from densely gathered tulle and organza.

We finished the dress with dreamy tulle sashes that sits gently off-shoulder before cascading down her back. A soft glamorous look perfect for our dear bride.

Jun

When Jun first presented her brief to me - ‘Cecile Bahnsen’ & ‘Voluminous’, my first response was: say no more! This gown features a delicately thin paper-like organza layered over a heavier crinkled organza with the most delicious texture. The lightness of the top layer seem to float as the wearer moves, as if creating its own shadow, a suspended moment of movement in time. We finished the gown with a low back and ribbon ties for an effortless chic vibe.

Euphoria

The brief was something that deviated from my usual requests and I thoroughly enjoyed every second making this gown. Gorgeous corseted A-line tulle dress with romantic off-shoulder sleeves, embellished with cascading black beaded lace appliqué and black satin ribbons. Definitely a thing of beauty!

Ada

Ada is one cool bride and her personality shines through in this custom corset and suit pairing. As the bow had to be detachable, I designed a corset with side slits so that the bow could be snapped into place. This hand draped bow was a structural complexity and took close to 60 hours to perfect.

Seemingly simple, a lot of thought and experimentation went into the foundation of the garment so that all sections will hold its shape and volume. She truly is a stunning centrepiece with her cascading peplum detail and train.

Tell us about your love story

Ben and I met through a mutual friend—his army buddy and my good friend—who, funnily enough, later became our wedding emcee. Our journey together spanned eight years before we tied the knot on 21st September 2021. I have a love for symmetry, and 21.09.21 felt like the perfect date. It also happened to be Mid-Autumn Festival, which made it even more special. We incorporated mooncakes as wedding favors and had a lantern-lit second march-in, making it a night to remember.

Was there a memorable detail from your special day that still shines bright after all these years?

The Mid-Autumn Festival theme made our wedding unique. The lantern march-in was magical—seeing the warm glow of lanterns as we walked in together felt so surreal. And of course, the mooncakes! They weren’t just wedding favors but little pieces of a celebration that tied everything together.

Is married life as you expected?

Married life wasn’t a drastic change for us. We had been together long enough to understand each other’s quirks and habits, but there was still a lot of calibration involved—learning how to navigate life as partners in a new chapter. It’s a continuous process, but one we take on together.

What is one piece of advice you have for brides-to-be/newlyweds?

Do what makes you and your partner happy. Weddings can feel like they’re about everyone else—family, traditions, expectations—but at the end of the day, it’s your day. Make choices that reflect who you are as a couple, and don’t stress over things that won’t matter in the long run.

Is there anything you wish you had done differently?

If I could do it again, I’d skip the wedding banquet—especially since we had it during the pandemic with all the restrictions. Instead, I’d opt for an intimate family banquet and a separate party for friends. But one thing I wouldn’t change is my custom outfit. One Day We Forayed brought my vision to life perfectly, and it’s something I will always cherish.

Naomi + Elanor

Back in 2018, I had the chance to design Naomi’s wedding dress while I was working in a bespoke bridal studio. 3 years on, we came together to turn her gorgeous gown into a meaningful one-of-a-kind dress for her daughter Elanor. With tulle ruffles along the neckline, tulle balloon sleeves, double satin ribbon detailing and a voluminous gathered skirt tier (6 meters in length!!), this little dress is definitely one of a kind.

Elin

Elin came to me with a very specific dress in mind and after ironing out the details, we headed straight to work. This dress features a high collar, halter neck pleated bodice with cut outs and a full tulle skirt. We added dimension to the dress by layering white tulle with grey and blush, which also gave the dress a slight color changing effect as she moved. Topped with the bride’s megawatt smile, this dress was definitely a show stopper!

Tell us about your love story

We met in Ängelholm, a small town in southern Sweden, the day before New Year’s Eve. It had been a long day at work, and I almost didn’t go out—until my best friend, Sofie, insisted on just one drink. Across the bar, I spotted this tall, handsome man with a confident presence. He waved me over, bought me a drink, and we started chatting. Then, out of nowhere, he excused himself for being so forward, leaned in, and kissed me. That was the start of the most incredible chapter of my life. I suppose I owe Sofie a thank you for that drink!

Was there a memorable detail from your special day that still shines bright after all these years?

Our wedding took place in Fiesole, Italy, a setting more magical than we ever imagined. One of the most unforgettable moments was during dinner when my husband, Patrik, and I sat at our own table, looking out at a room filled with our closest family and friends who had travelled from all over the world just to celebrate with us. That overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude is something I will never be able to put into words. Oh, and my dress! It was a dream come true—I never wanted to take it off.

Is married life as you expected?

Married life has been wonderful. We tied the knot in 2019, but we met way back in 2006, so we had already been through life’s ups and downs together. Marriage felt like a natural continuation—a new chapter rather than a big change.

What is one piece of advice you have for brides-to-be/newlyweds?

Stay true to what you want. Your wedding should reflect you as a couple, not just meet others' expectations. We initially planned to marry in Sweden since that’s where we’re from, but having lived abroad for over a decade, it didn’t feel right. Halfway through planning, we made the bold decision to change everything and have our dream wedding in Italy instead. Ask yourselves what you truly want—then go for it.

Is there anything you wish you had done differently?

I wish I had stressed less and trusted my vendors more! They are professionals for a reason. Looking back, I wish I had taken the time to soak in the excitement rather than worrying about every detail. The night before the wedding, Patrik even made me a timeline in Excel so I could sleep peacefully—now that’s love!

Ying Yu

Ying Yu is our very first bespoke bride and her dress is very dear to my heart. Ying came across to me as an old soul, and I felt that her appreciation for black and white films and vintage really resonates well with her personality. After flirting with various silhouettes, we decided on a classic off-shoulder A-line dress. This off-white beauty features a voluminous petticoat, cascading train and lovely fabric buttons sewn down the entire back of the dress.
