Our Brides

Hui Er

Inspired by the 1950s’ nipped-in-the waist-dresses, we created our own special rendition with a unique scallop dropped-waist bodice, carving out an ultra feminine silhouette that flares out at the hips from densely gathered tulle and organza. We finished the dress with dreamy tulle sashes that sits gently off-shoulder before cascading down her back. A soft glamorous look perfect for our dear bride.

Jun

When Jun first presented her brief to me - ‘Cecile Bahnsen’ & ‘Voluminous’, my first response was: say no more! This gown features a delicately thin paper-like organza layered over a heavier crinkled organza with the most delicious texture. The lightness of the top layer seem to float as the wearer moves, as if creating its own shadow, a suspended moment of movement in time. We finished the gown with a low back and ribbon ties for an effortless chic vibe.

Euphoria

The brief was something that deviated from my usual requests and I thoroughly enjoyed every second making this gown. Gorgeous corseted A-line tulle dress with romantic off-shoulder sleeves, embellished with cascading black beaded lace appliqué and black satin ribbons. Definitely a thing of beauty!

Naomi + Elanor

Back in 2018, I had the chance to design Naomi’s wedding dress while I was working in a bespoke bridal studio. 3 years on, we came together to turn her gorgeous gown into a meaningful one-of-a-kind dress for her daughter Elanor. With tulle ruffles along the neckline, tulle balloon sleeves, double satin ribbon detailing and a voluminous gathered skirt tier (6 meters in length!!), this little dress is definitely one of a kind.

Ada

Ada is one cool bride and her personality shines through in this custom corset and suit pairing. As the bow had to be detachable, I designed a corset with side slits so that the bow could be snapped into place. This hand draped bow was a structural complexity and took close to 60 hours to perfect. Seemingly simple, a lot of thought and experimentation went into the foundation of the garment so that all sections will hold its shape and volume. She truly is a stunning centrepiece with her cascading peplum detail and train.

Ying Yu

Ying Yu is our very first bespoke bride and her dress is very dear to my heart. Ying came across to me as an old soul, and I felt that her appreciation for black and white films and vintage really resonates well with her personality. After flirting with various silhouettes, we decided on a classic off-shoulder A-line dress. This off-white beauty features a voluminous petticoat, cascading train and lovely fabric buttons sewn down the entire back of the dress.

Elin

Elin came to me with a very specific dress in mind and after ironing out the details, we headed straight to work. This dress features a high collar, halter neck pleated bodice with cut outs and a full tulle skirt. We added dimension to the dress by layering white tulle with grey and blush, which also gave the dress a slight color changing effect as she moved. Topped with the bride’s megawatt smile, this dress was definitely a show stopper!

Amanda

Amanda’s tea ceremony/evening dress has elements that evoke the imagery of the cheongsam, such as the high collar and dress slit, yet it also has a little edge with tulle cut outs and a back keyhole design. Part traditional, part Art Deco, this was a dress designed to last well after the wedding, able to be worn again and again to various functions. A detachable belt beaded with Swarovski crystals was also added for that extra shine during the evening dinner.

Ana

Ana knew right from the very beginning what she want in a dress. We went to various lace shops to look at our options before choosing a delicately beaded lace with dazzling sequins. As the lace motif was very organic, Ana and I took our time to ensure that each lace panel placement was exactly what she liked before the specific areas on the lace were marked and cut. This is definitely the softest, slinkiest silk beauty I’ve ever made.
